Allston
Allston offers up a number of great units at 20-24 Royce Road. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the Greater Boston area Today, July 17th, from 1-7 p.m.

According to the NWS, the combination of high temperatures and humidity will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. People are advised to avoid prolonged time in the sun, and to say in an air-conditioned environment if possible. It is also advised that you drink plenty of fluids.

Be sure to take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. Take frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and drink plenty of water. In cases of emergency, call 9-1-1 immediately.

Independence Day is just around the corner and there are a variety of activities and fireworks displays on tap throughout Greater Boston. RCG customers will have plenty of options for fireworks, festivities and fun this Fourth of July.

Boston
No one does Fourth of July like the City of Boston. The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular will take place on Wednesday, July 4th at the Charles River Esplanade. The Pops Concert at the Hatch Shell begins at 8:00 pm and concludes at 10:30 pm with a fireworks display until 11 pm.

Brookline
Brookline residents can head over to Larz Anderson Park for a great view of the Boston Fireworks Extravaganza on Sunday, July 4th.

Cambridge
Cambridge residents can also take advantage of the Boston festivities by heading over to the Charles River. Speakers will be set up near the Mass Ave bridge so you can enjoy the Pops Concert and have a great view of the fireworks.

Lynn
The City of Lynn will kick off its 2012 Fireworks Festivities on Tuesday, July 3rd. The fireworks display begins at 9 p.m. The best viewing for the Lynn event is along Lynn Shore Drive.

North Andover
The town of North Andover will hold its festivities on Tuesday, July 3rd at 9:30 p.m. The events will take place at Hayes Stadium.

Salem
The City of Salem will hold its Independence Day celebration on Wednesday, July 4th. The events begins at 4 p.m. at Salem Maritime Historic Site on Derby Wharf with the opening of a kids' space. A two-hour pops concert and a fireworks display are just two of the many activities on tap. Maritime National Historic Site on Derby Wharf. The event kicks off with the opening of a kids activity area at 4 p.m. A concert, National Guard Flyover, and Fireworks are also on tap for the evening.

Waltham
Finally, if you're in the Waltham area, head over to Leary Field on Wednesday July 4th. The Fireworks festivities will take place at 9:30 p.m.

The historic Lydia Pinkham Building in Lynn will be holding its sixth annual Open Studios on Saturday, November 19th from 10 am to 4 pm.

Join area residents and art enthusiasts at this year's Open Studios. North Shore Clay Studio and the artists of the Lydia Pinkham building will open their doors to the public for this free, annual event. Visitors are invited to walk through artists' studios, meet the artists, and view and buy their work.

This is a great invitation for the community to view and purchase nearly 25 local artists’ work, ranging from painting and illustrations to pottery, sculpture and multimedia!

Open Studios is the best way to meet the artists, see their work in the place it was created, and shop for the holidays. Roam from room to room during this once-a-year art extravaganza.
